Nagios has a great web interface. I sometimes want the information from that interface in command-line format for other scripts.
Does nagios have command-line tools that will: % Return all the children/descendants of machine X. % Return all services being tested on machine X. % Return all services in servicegroup X. etc...? I realize /var/spool/nagios/objects.cache has all this info (and status.dat even has the current status), and my current hack is to parse that file, but is there an easier/better way to get this info? -- We're just a Bunch Of Regular Guys, a collective group that's trying to understand and assimilate technology.
