One of my collegues wrote a MogileFS injection/extraction check, so we put it
on NagiosExchange and I thought I'd announce it here.
http://www.nagiosexchange.org/cgi-bin/page.cgi?g=Detailed%2F2599.html;d=1
The check uses the MogileFS::Client perl modules to do a simple inject/extract
test on a MogileFS instance. The check will then compare the sizes of the two
files and if they match it's a success.
As an initial test it will also query the MogileFS MySQL database to determine
whether or not to continue. I did this because there were instances when a
database can go down and the script would return inconsistent results (either
an exit code of '82' when trying to contact MogileFS backend or endlessly
looping and causing an NRPE timeout).
