check_nt has very limited functionality (mainly see if the service is "sort of running"), I would suggest using something more flexible. Such as for instance NRPE or similar which allows you to run "scripts" on the remote (windows) host. With most "modern" windows agents (NSClient++, NC_NET, NRPE_NT, OpMonAgent(?)) you can use scripts and thus either use one of the various check_oracle scripts or get your DBA to write up a quick database check script in his or hers favorite language.
