Hello, I'm considering upgrading our core NAGIOS instance to 3(.0.3), but we have 4 other NAGIOS servers (a typical distributed setup) that all submit check results back to this core instance.
While I intend to upgrade them too, that prospect is a little bit harder and will take a little bit more time. It will also be nearly impossible to "flip the switch" in order to upgrade them all at the same time. I haven't yet seen any reason for this to be a problem, but I've only read the "What's New" and upgrade changes/considerations. Would there be any reason why NAGIOS 2 processes, submitting check results back via NSCA to a NAGIOS 3 instance, would have any problems or incompatibilities? Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Nagios-users mailing list Nagios-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/nagios-users ::: Please include Nagios version, plugin version (-v) and OS when reporting any issue. ::: Messages without supporting info will risk being sent to /dev/null
