Hello Martyn, You would really have to monitor *all* possible processes to do what you speak of (AFAIK). I would pick the ones that are the most likely to go awry, and focus on monitors for them. You can always write bat files to check for process (or lack of one) via nrpe - the nrpe_nt windows stuff had some good examples last time I checked - they are not that complicated and quite flexible, you just have to ensure you send nrpe_nt the proper exit code based on the problem/symptom... (This is assuming you meant "processes", and not "processors" , as that would be hardware).. ;) Cheers, Jamie ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Open Source Business Conference (OSBC), March 24-25, 2009, San Francisco, CA -OSBC tackles the biggest issue in open source: Open Sourcing the Enterprise -Strategies to boost innovation and cut costs with open source participation -Receive a $600 discount off the registration fee with the source code: SFAD http://p.sf.net/sfu/XcvMzF8H _______________________________________________ Nagios-users mailing list Nagios-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/nagios-users ::: Please include Nagios version, plugin version (-v) and OS when reporting any issue. ::: Messages without supporting info will risk being sent to /dev/null
