*Exactly* that? The authentication is very simplistic on the nagios side. All it does is look at the REMOTE_USER environment variable set by your web server and matches that against contacts specified for hosts/services and the authorized_for_* settings. If you are shown to be 'Logged in as rperezm' (exactly), then it should be working and there is little room for it not to be.
