I just posted a new thread over there... I did some more testing this morning trying to reduce the number of parameters, but I can't really do so to get a single event ID. It is still not working like I expect; I explained each option I was giving it in my post if you have a moment to take a look. If indeed it's the number of filters I'm adding, I'm totally at a loss. Simply looking for an event ID within a time interval seems like it's such a basic need that I'd just be flabbergasted... Thanks for all your help, everyone!
