Hello All In the last couple of weeks i noticed an odd occurrence in the output of the check_procs on my master Nagios server
the default command : check_local_procs , gives out the following output : WARNING;PROCS WARNING: 380 processes with STATE = RSZDT Although when executing the command manually the server shows a different output - usually more along the lines like this : OK;PROCS OK: 78 processes with STATE = RSZDT I know that the state of the server is not exact when I run the check manually and when nagios executes it , but i still feel there is something wrong. Initially i thought that there is something wrong with the command definition , but that was rulled out , then i thought it might be a problem in the plugin , so i recompiled it and re installed , that did not solve the issue . I Stopped Nagios completely to make sure all nagios<defunct> processes are cleared form the process table , but still the issue returns , my last idea is to reboot the server ( which I loath to do ) , does anyone have encountered a similar issue ? I am using nagios 3.2.0 from source on SLES 10.3 64bit. -- Never,Ever Cut A Deal With a Dragon ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by Sprint What will you do first with EVO, the first 4G phone?
