There are two day courses in artificial nail technology but if you are living in a province with regulation then you can't do anything with the course. A typical nail technology course, involving all aspects of professional nail care, runs about twelve weeks or so.
The other issue, even if there is no regulation in your province stipulating how much education you must have, is that some distributors will not teach the short courses to individuals who aren't already in the industry with a diploma in esthetics, nails, or hair. This is because the short courses don't teach anything about bacteriology and decontamination, but the cosmetology schools do. However, there will be other distributors that will take you on, but I fail to see what anyone will learn in two days that will make them educated enough to be set loose on the public with an armload of chemicals. If you want to do artificial enhancements, regardless of what province you live in, you really should go to trade school and take the full nail technology course. You will learn so much and be a better educated tech.
