Adrienne,

If your current camera has a Macro feature, use it.  It usually has a little 
flower as the icon.  This enables you to take photos up close.  Center your 
shot, take a deep breath, hold it and then hit the button.  This will keep you 
still.  Try that with your current camera before you purchase a new one.  I use 
a Kodak Easy Share and they are very user friendly cameras.
