I charge 30 for a manicure. If I do NANOVIVE, I add 5 dollars. Pedicures are 60. I have a large established clientele and I work alone. I never charge for polish change and I dont charge extra for French. I may be NUTS but my client are loyaland I changed their bad habits years ago by charging big for broken nails and bitten nails so I dont have that problem anymore. Maureen

I charge $35 for a full spa pedi. That includes soak in whirlpool throne, callus work, exfoliating scrub, massage with hydrating lotion, cuticle treatment and toenail work, and polish. If I have to do extensive callus work and use my callus treatment I charge $5 more. I take a little over an hour to hour and a half w/ callus treatment. If I were to add paraffin, I would add another $5. So what do you think I should charge? Shannon athena elliott <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Marureen thats a great idea!!!!! Also hey Shannon and Angie the paraffin thang is a cinch............build it into your service. I go thru a ton of it. If the client doesn't want it in there pedi than they can opt out. Do I offer a substitute? nope. I give in my spa mani a free tube of LemonMint lip balm. Cost me .98 cents. I made a ton of them when I opened my biz. If you get my SPAthenian Greek Manicure....you get a free Lemon Mint Lip Balm. They love it! They love freebies yeah. Trick it to find ones that don't take more than 5 mins or for cheap to us. She is a stylist and was impressed with the policy of the salon. With new clients, they get something free with the first 3 services. a free blow dry with a color or a free conditioning treatment with a haircut. We can do this with one part of our spa services to promote a new service tp our clients. What I have done and I sometimes pi-- myself off but, it has helped, I raised the price of my manicures and I only do spa manicures YEAR ROUND/ Maureen --- On Fri, 11/14/08, shannon <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: From: shannon <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: NailTech:: Re: spa manicures To: [email protected] Date: Friday, November 14, 2008, 7:41 AM Yeah that is probably the reason, I am going to have to look at how I promote things. And NOT give it away all the time. I may do an add on once in a while for free, to show them, and they just don't seem to book it. Maybe I have to put a sign up and have it in their face. I'll try again, see what I can do, anything extra with this economy is a big help. I have suddenly slowed way down the past two weeks. I know its probably the pedicures have slowed down, but I am having so many people change appts. or no shows. at the last minute, its killing me. Shannon Maureen Solan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Shannon, Maybe it's the way you are presenting the service., I tell my clients --- client, I am noticeing how dry your hands are. I would love to give you a spa manicure or a parrafin dip. the exfoliation would make your hands feel so much better and the extra moisture would norish your nails. Sometimes, I even exfoliate one hand for them so they can see. Put some of the products in sight and when they ask :what is this: you can explain. Be excited about the service. Promote it. Nice stuff, if only I could actually have someone want one, I can't even get people to do paraffin. I only have one girl once in a while do paraffin. And I live in a cold climate where hands dry out so bad they get really chapped. And still they just get regular mani's. Has anyone used these? The almond from CND sounds like it would smell great. How much more money do you think you should add on to the original manicure? Thanks for any suggestions.
