Hi Lauren, I bought the starter kit for $50. I watched the video and practiced and sent pics to the owner. Each sleeve that has 10 sizes of film...that's what it is like a mylar kind of film that attaches with a special heat lamp to the nail. It will stick to all enhancements and natural nails and some nails that have been polish. I think that depends on what brand of polish. they send you 10 sheets of Clear Armor....it's a clear version. I have practiced with that a bunch and it is so easy. Today I did a set of toe's that turned out fantastic.
The clear is great for a person that has a cracked nail...or people who have ridged nails that you just can't buff up to a shine. I did a woman who has that type of ridged nail . I used the clear and she was so amazed. She won't be coming back for 3 weeks so we will see. My own nails will be a week on Sunday. They are holdin up like steel toes boots! I have truly been MINXED!
