I know many will think this is boring, but you have to read and watch 
what the big boys are doing out there, they know so much more than we 
do when it comes to market trends with the consumer.  This article 
quotes many company presidents of clothing lines Polo, Neiman Marcus, 
J.C Penny, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Ave, Bloomingdales, Rock and 
Republic,J.Crew,Crate&Barrell, Gap,SuperValu,Inc.

Yes it does concern our little part of our world, (out table and ped 
chair). They are changing and the article explains what these big 
dogs are doing to stay in the "NEW" market.
  A couple of quotes I copied if you don't have time to read, whole
