Hi Missy Great hear something positive happen for you !!! YEAH!!  I do have
salon in a separate part of my house my daughter is a hair dresser so we have
the works . thats part of the reason I do not want to be a pedi slave in a spa
its great $$$ if you like that part of this biz but I want to focus on advanced
nail services. I know if I stick to this it will happen. after last week end
I'd rather be broke then work like that its not me.What part of gels could you
possible be allergic to ?? I had areaction to acrylic myself but the gels nadda
I love gel its so easy. I use a concave brush and it builds a nice apex very
simple. So like you I hope to build up some business I am going to go with a
flyer in the neighborhood delis  and library Glad to hear good news keepon
trying  Jennifer

Jen-Jen,

Oh, yeah I even left cards for the managers desk. Yesterday, I had to go to
a new bank, and gave the lady my card, but she even had a bandaide on one
finger. She didn't seem too interested. But a few minutes later a man wanted my
card for his wife. Luckily she only gets manicures..... woohooo! As far as you
giving up 200 bucks a day, I shudder at the thought of bulking at that kind of
money. But I have walked away from positions due to pride. So, each person has
their own "I don't fricken think so!" Perhaps, pain from doing pedis is yours.
I
would give it a few weeks, and see if there is any other nail business services
that do come in. Maybe even explain, you need to be in the upright position at
least half of your shift lol. If you ever start your own salon, let me know. I
designed a pedicure station that you can do pedicures on a 16 hr shift and feel
like you hadn't done one!
