LOL...when people complain to us about the smell, we take a deep breath, and say (with a big smile on our faces) that we call that the smell of money! It usually gets a chuckle. Let's face it, they're right...there is an odor to acrylic nails, and unless you have your nails done, or do nails, you just don't understand why it's not offensive to all the people in the room.

Like the perms and colors don't stink. I do hair too so I know they stink, lol. We had a woman who did ethnic hair with marcel irons, the kind you put into those funky looking ovens, and talk about stink!! The smell of burned hair would come into my room and just stay there. I had an air purifier, candles and sprayed Frabreez every so often and it still stunk up the place. I was glad when she moved on. We got more complaints about her burnt hair smell than my nails. I also had a table that had a fan in it and when I filed the nails and applied the AC I turned the fan on so it drew the dust and smell away from my client and myself. That seemed to really help. When I go back to work I'm going to have to look into one of those Luraco things. Thanks for letting me vent, LOL.
