I have been meaning to do this for some time but now with all that is going on with me it is time. I know I wrote about my eczema last month. I was on Prednisone and that med works like a miracle drug. I was free of the rash and just about every other ailment I had-- allergies and sinus things. I finished the Prednisone early in January. I picked up a stomach thing which is rare for me. I never get sick. The last time I threw up was over 32 years ago. I talked myself out of that again this time, but had it out the other end. (trying to not be graphic here for those of you with a weak stomach!) At the end of the day when I began to feel better, I had pain in my ribs. You would have thought I was hanging over the toilet for hours with the pain I had. It lasted until the next day and got worse. The tenderness in the ribs lasted about a week. I also had a hard time breathing from this. One of my nurse clients suggested I had gall bladder problems. I knew it was not that because I was fine otherwise. About a week after the pain in the ribs subsided, I looked up online what could cause that to happen. Have any of you heard of sarcoidosis? One of the first things to happen if you have this is a droopy face. Hey Kristi McK... remember when we roomed in Orlando? It started then. I have had this for years. My first neurologist put me on seizure meds. Had to stop them because they really mess with the mind and I did not like not being in control. My other choices are surgery that they need to drill in the back of my head to get to the nerve or Botox. I opted for Botox--and ONLY on the trifacial area. This is not fun!!! LOL... I cannot blink my left eye!! Anyway, that is what they look for first with the sarcoidosis. As I went through the list of symptoms, I have quite a few of them. Skip ahead to last week-- my eczema came back with a vengeance. I had it all over my face, hands, arms and above the bra straps on both sides of my underarms. I called the doctor to BEG for more Prednisone. (hey, hey Alice-they have UPPED the dosage--I am feeling great!!! ) They gave me the meds on Thursday and today I am almost free of it again. BUT, I think I am going to get it back once I stop the steroid. Last night I looked up more information on sarcoidosis. Well, wouldn't you know that this could be from chemicals? My symptoms: skin rash, tender ribs, heart palpatations, pain in the legs, face drooping, dry eyes, pins and needle feelings, sinusitis, headaches and sleep problems. I told the doctor about this and they are testing me for Sarcoid and Lupus. I am not upset over this. It just would be nice to know what the heck is going on with this body. I financially cannot afford to stop doing this job. IF my problems are from the products I use, I have to find a way to eliminate these from entering my body!! That is where I need to contact Dawn because she is very happy with her product-powder-sucker-upper!!!! Yesterday I finally achieved my Reiki Master level!!! I also went to the Crystal shop and just picked up ones that I was attracted to. I cannot believe when I got home that my Crystal Bible had all this info on my random choices that have to do with things going on in my body and life!!! I need to clean them and then start to use them. They are great to use with Rieki. The reason I am writing this is for all of you to think about what we are taking in each day. I do lots of artificial nails-sometimes 12 clients a day. Fourteen and fifteen hours during December were the norm. Think of all this dust going into the lungs. I am sure when they X-ray me, I will have white lung!!! I do not want any of you to wind up with this. It may not work out for some of us to stay in this field if we get too sick. Oh, no pity party for me. I am not that way. I just want all of you to be aware of what could happen down the road. Allergies do not happen immediately. These things with me have taken years to notice. Just do not let it happen to you!
