For a couple of years. Now all we use is

Nail Tek. She thought she would never have

Nails again or even be able to go natural

But she us there. So will you.

Pati,

What shape are they in
now? Is your nails not as long as your nailbeds yet? If not what condition is
the nailbed in?

Sheryl,
So..which company did you use for the gel polish and soakable gels?  I am
curious now...maybe these would be "better" for me because I have such damaged
nails? Any one have any suggestions?  Ac, regular gel or soakable? which way
should I go? I do NOT want them long...just an "overlay" with perhaps a bit of
length on a few real short ones...but not longer than the nailbed.....help...I
have a wedding next weekend to go to....

Angela,

I soaked off and repolished my first  test subject yesterday.  She  did not
wear gloves the whole time for anything including scrubbing  surfaces with
“Comet” cleanser.  The only problem she had was out growth!  Every eployee in
the salon has approached me about having a set applied! EVERY One of them.
They are telling clients about it and It is still in testing!&n bsp; I don’t
even have my pricing figured out yet!  In this economy I am going to
price them less than traditional Gel , because I can always go up in price
later.  I am going to do the “Comcast” thing. Hook then on the introduction and
raise the prices later. Lol If everyone in the Salon is wearing it ,  I am
creating a demand before it is available! That is GOOD Marketing. Price
increase due to product cost.

As for booking a soakoff repolish?  Our booking is done in the computer. If
someone is double booked there is a double column.  You could have an extra
column in a book as well. In the double column They will be booked for soakoff
½ hour before their regular apointment .. I am setting up a folding nail table
as a “soak off station”  with soak off machine that is Ultrasonic and heats the
acetone. Goes much faster that way.  Then on to the regular apointment.

I think this is a Great Alternative to Extensions  but it is certainly20an
Enhancement   to the nail.  In my area which seems to be pretty aniti
extension/enhancements  at the moment I will be calling it Gel Polish and a Re
Polish,  or Gel  Polish Manicure, something along that line. Marketing again.
In my area it has not been cool to be seen spending money on your self for the
last 6 months. How dumb is that.  It is not PC.  With the election over and
spring coming we are hopeing to see a change. I have hearing about people not
taking the usual vacation bu
t planning Spa Days instead which sounds good to me!  I still want to keep the
terminology on the less extravagent side. This could be one of those Low Key
services that will work since the nails still have a Very Natural look!

My sugesstion? If you can afford it?  Make an investment it will pay for
itself.

That is good to know,  I have been thinking about trying them.   I am
concidering getting a line of soakables for my natural nail clients after
reading these threads,  they may actually go for it,  and if I can make more $
in the same amount of time and they can get out the door quicker as not to have
to dry first,  then it may just be what I need to do.

So how much are you all charging extra beyond your natural manicures,  to do
the full soakable process?  I charge $18 for a regular manicure with polish.

Thanks,

Shannon A.

I have to tell you that I love the Nailite gels (soakable and regular).  I used
ibd in school and still hate it!  I can't get ibd to stay on!  Can't say enough
about Nailite.  I also love Azkentz but can't always afford them!

How does the nailite color gel compare to Light
legance? I have tried

IBD, Christrio and some other swiss company. I hated the ibd.... the

christrio separates and constantly has to be mixed, and the swiss

company's shrinks. Light Elegance is by far the best I have tried.
