I think it is a mental block, because I think about it and I know it's not hard
and then when I go to do it, it is. I prefer sculpting using ac, so i thought I
would prefer it with gel. I was wrong. I was using Brisa and I swear I was
using marshmellow creme. So many steps too. With gels I find I do better with
the first nail and by the tenth I am frustrated and they look worse one by one.
I think I will try to get the gel with tips down first then move to the
sculpts. Practice! Practice!

What did you eat for dinner that night? Hahaha!!!! Good grief, honey... It was
just a stress-related dream! It's really not THAT hard! You kill me!

Oh Shannon,

I feel your pain girl! It's frustrating to order things and pay for them and
not recieve them. I would prefer to just be able to walk in a store and pick up
what I need, but with nail supplies it just isn't that way. I am feeling
frustrated with trying gel nails. This last week nothing seemed to go right and
I was ready to throw in the towel. I tried sculpturing gels for the first time
and wow. I decided I would rather stick a needle in my eye then do that again.
I had a nightmare that night that the gel wouldn't get off my brush and it just
kept stringing up as high as I would lift my brush. The white gel was in a jar
like marshmellow creme and when I would dip my brush it kept getting all over
my hands and stringing. It was in my hair and everything. I woke up so
frustrated and decided that I would stick to acrylic which I could do in my
sleep. After a few days I feel better and think I will try some more.

Subject: NailTech:: minx frustration

Hey all,
I just need to vent my frustration on a couple things. I have practiced the
clear minx on a few people. I have had trouble with wide nails that the minx
does not cover but overcame this. I really do not like practicing with the
clear as I can not see where it sits, when it rubs off, etc... so I ordered
some patterns along with a lamp on the 24th. They say they just got the order
today and it will ship sometime next week. They said they do not get the order
until paypal releases it with payment and that paypal must have help my payment
for some reason (although I paid by credit card from my checking account and
the money was taken out on the 25th but whatever) I am just frustrated that I
have already taken appointments and I may have to reschedule them because my
patterns (along with my lamp) will have taken almost 2 weeks to get to me.
Frustrating. I am also frustrated that I tried to work with the gold foil and
it was a DISASTER!!!! I found it to be
not as pliable as the clear and had problems with wide nails (on a different
person) and had problems with filing it off (was harder than the clear) I know
it takes practice and tomorrow I will be fine and happy and ready to try again
but it is late and I am frustrated and just needed to vent and rant. Like I
said, tomorrow is a new day and many things about being a nail tech takes
practice, practice, practice. I just do not want to do an actual paying client
and have these results. I will practice more this week so hopefully it will get
easier... Thanks for listening guys!!!
