I've mixed regular polish into clear gel and it works fine enough but you have to be consistent with how many drops of colour you use if you want to get the exact colour match. Less polish makes a nice, sheer colour. Seems to cure fine as long as you don't change the consistency of the gel. I find about 8-10 drops to a dollop of gel seems to be the right amount? I have SO many gel polishes I don't find the need to mix; plus we all know manufacturers will tell us we shouldn't because we will have clients walking around with potentially uncured product; therefore risking over-exposure.

From: [email protected] Date: Mon, 2 Mar 2009 16:48:16 +0000 I have tried to put regular polish between layers of clear gel and it didn't work out! I'm not sure why buy I didn't try again! I just use colored gels now and that's working great for me! Hi all, I was wondering if any of you gel users have ever mixed regular nail polish into your gel to create a "gel polish", or if you have tried to apply a gel top coat over nail polish and what your results were?
