Wow, thank you Kim :o)

A networking event it completely different than a class...and even a class we
are used to isnt anywhere near the magnitude of the HRTE class.

A networking event in my opinion is similar to a mini trade show without the
sales...you will see product companies that send educators to sit and do demos
just as a trade show..you walk around and see demos of those you chose to
visit. Its on a much smaller scale of course and its a great way to see
different products if your in the market to shop so to speak. Its also a nice
way to meet fellow nailtechs that you chat with thru places such as this
mailing list.

HRTE is a class...I'm sure you have all been to one, a product specific class
with an educator teaching product specific..HRTE is a NON product specific
class on a much larger scale...I have had as many as 11-12 educators teaching
thier tips, tricks and techniques that have made them successful, each doing
thier education one at a time. Class sizes of up to 40 attending. We do keep
the educator to attendee ratio around 5:1. We dont teach or I should say try
not to mention the product we use since it doesnt matter whether you use gel or
acrylic as an example because what your learning can be used with any product.
With the exception of a guest artist brought in such as Athena Elliot educating
Minx as an example. We also cover basics like filing techs, form placement for
different nail shape styles, efiling, business building, sanitation and
disinfection, abiding by your State Boards rules and regs. Carla Collier talks
about the competition arena and will
also be teaching us how to sculpt a nail with proper structure and getting rid
of bad habits such as pile and file. You will be bringing your product of
choice to practice with on day two. With the education team there for
assistance with any of your practice needs. Since many of the techs in
attendance are interested in some of the products used yet not mentioned during
the class...I have allowed product sales and is unveiled at the end of class.
Each of the educators come on thier own time.. They are dedicated to our
industry and are proud to share with others. To some this all up, its not a
product class, its a skills workshop.
This class has been a great success and seeing the educaton side of our
industry changing because of it..we are seeing some great things come of those
that attend. The motivation and inspiration it gives each of us has opened many
doors. Thank you to all that have participated and support us. Look forward to
seeing you again and looking forward to those that have yet to cross our
paths..

HRTE is about to go international...keep watching the website for a location
near you.

If there is anything specific you would like to learn and want to know if we
cover it, dont hesitate to contact me. I will see that your needs are met.

Angie,
I went to the HRTE in Ohio last fall and it was amazing.  You learn more than
you can imagine and you come back so inspired!  Its worth 10x more than the
cost.  I am planning to go to the Networking Event in the Smokies for the first
time this June, so I can't fairly compare.  But I would go to the HRTE again
and again in a heartbeat.  With my new office position, I can't take off on
Mondays or I would be at both the Chicago and the Nashville!  Let me know if I
can answer any specific questions for you!

Tammy,

You probably have kept us updated. I just decided that I could go to one and
couldn't remember who was going to be there. Thanks. I am really interested in
Amy Becker or Gina S.

No the guest artists that come change..yet Amy Becker plans to join us for all
the classes. I will do a better job keeping you posted on the mailing list and
update you as the educator line up increases...

Tammy,

I'm trying to decide between 3 different shows to go to. The HRTE in Chicago or
Memphis, or the Networking event in the Smokies. What site can I go to, to find
out what educators will be there? Thanks for any info.
