Shannon,
Go to http://www.nailiteinc and look at their lamps. NO need to spend lots of
money on lamps. I use theirs. Also you can get two for their price but you do
not need a separate one for feet!! Not at $55 a lamp. But from Nailite you can.
Buenos dias,
Lynnette

I did, Thank you :) I am trying to find a uv lamp (tons of info to go through
before you make any purchase as a nail tech!!) Now for those that do toes, do
you need a seperate one for toes? If not, how do you clean or sanitize? Any
suggestions on a middle of the road lamp? I am looking at one on gel
essentials? (not sure on the spelling) for $55.00 and the replacement bulbs do
not look too expensive. I think I am going to try the Akentz soakable also.
From the posts I have been reading they seem to be good (even if they are a bit
pricey). My salon owner just gave me the ok to start the gels(we are organic
but I pleaded my case about odorless, the soakables are good for color not
chipping, etc...tough economic times have made her reconsider)

so far so good, now that I know I have to use Protein bond or opti
bond. I only did 3 fixes on her, not the whole set, so will have to call her
and see how they are doing, she is a good one to let me know of any issues and
havent heard from her.

Shannon, did you get your package ok? Have you tried it yet? If so
how is it going?

          Hey Shannon,
How did the re-do go? Do you like Options?

                    Hello to all
What is a sciver? Is that the same as the young nails
cross cut??

line as well. You really need to be sure to remove all the cuticle off the nail
plate (I use the sciver bit with my e file), and cleanse well; especially
sidewalls and free edge with Akzentz's Nail Prep. If you aren't soaking off,
then use Affixit after the Sure Bond. Or, apply the Affixit just on the free
edge to prevent the separation. Keep in mind, Affixit does not soak off. I have
also switched to Opti Bond instead of Base and Gloss and now all my clients go
at least 3 weeks with no problems. In fact, some are more difficult to file
off! LOL! I also like to use the Options Clear as a top coat; remember to swipe
a little on the free edge as well to "cap" the gel in place.

don't have that, but will substitute it with protein bond for now, til I get
to HRTE in Buffalo in a week or two. The only other thing she suggested was
to wipe off the dispersion layer with acetone before applying the colored gel.
So I will try that when she comes in. Gonna re do to whole set for her. I was
hoping it would last well for her, will have to add the concrete, LOL.
Protein bond it is.

educator, but that is how I've done it). However, if a client comes back with
peeling, I then use a primer. I like to use Young Nails Protein Bond. In fact,
I ALWAYS use Protein Bond just for that extra insurance. I don't soak off, I
file off when they come back. The protein bond seems to really hold the product
on so if you're soaking it off, it may take longer with the protein bond.
