i moved to a new salon about year and a half ago. the first thing i did was get all my client info together. then about a month before i left i sent out a letter letting my clients know where i was going, what the phone number was, the date i was starting and that my hours would be the same. i put a 10% off coupon at the bottom to try to entise them to come to the new place (probably didn't have to do that with my standings, but i thought it was a nice gesture). i gave the salon that was at two weeks notice in writing and had the owner sign 2 copies, one of which I kept just incase (it was a new owner and he accused us of stealing among other things and I had an obvious trust issue). if you want more info on the contents of my letter email me. As it got closer to my last day I started keeping a seperate book from the salon so I could book my clients at the new place. On their last visit to my old salon i reconfirmed their appointments and made sure they all had the new salon and my cell number, and knew exactly where the new salon was. The salon I want to is only 2 miles north of where I was, so i kept all of my standing and a few of my sparatic clients. if you have any question let me know good luck Cira

It's a booth rental. (actually it's a little room but lovely). It's $25 per day which is not so bad... but I really like the owner. She's a stylist had many shops been in the business for many years and is all about education, customer service and being professional!!!!! I can't even tell you how good that makes me feel!! Anyway, It's very close to the other salon which hopefully means I'll retain a few of my clients. Now... how do I make the transition? Any thoughts would be helpful... Thanks so much!!
