i suggest looking on DIYnetwork.com and searching on how to paint it. I know you have to sand it first. The salon I get my hair cut at painted their formica hair stations. It looks really nice but I know she had a pro come in and do it. And they put their shears and brushes on place mats so they don't get scratched. the mats are leather and look really nice. Cira
