ou have bling on YOUR toes to show them?
I don't have enough toenail yet to 'bling" myself!! They are baby thin and
just not strong enough to support anything. BUT I am concerned about my back
...that's why I have to REALLY think this out and figure out a comfortable
way.... Sure..I can do it on the fingernails and TELL them it looks great on
toes but....not the same...I want it to be like POW, WOW, SMACK them in the
face!! I want them all to go back to their "campsites" and say,"look at my
toes...Pati did them!" hahahahaha YES.... WORLD I AM BACK!!! lmao...

ati, I worry about your back doing the bling
oes. It will tear it up. And some of the women
an't lift their leg up in your lap, they start
etting cramps. I started out doing this, and
fter two thought I was going to kill someone!!!
Why don't you do the bling on the nails and tell
hem they can get this on their toes. Or to save
our back, only do one toe. yeah, well maybe
hat won't work. How about doing their hands and
ou have bling on YOUR toes to show them? Are you
oing to have someone the
re to help you? Have
ling on their toes also. Just would hate to see
ou in pain all day. diana from indiana

I just have to figure out HOW I am going to do

portable mani table to polish or do some nail

Maybe I will make/order some cards and put a
discount on them because they "found" me at the
FR. (fundraiser) I might at another time do a
FR in my studio (when it is up and running) but
for now will donate my time and materials AT the
FR (and whatever revenue I generate
there) Maybe I can sell the hands/and or feet
at the FR to display there....and donate that.
ok it is shaping up..thanks again...
Alice....how quick can one do bling
toes....???? spray sanitizer...lightly buff
nail....shape quickly....protein bond...base
gel....glitter....cure...layer of gel...cure
....gel sealer...less than 30 minutes I
think...hopefully more like 20...I have done
this before but in
the salon and with a pedicure..never a quickie....

Another idea...and it just popped into my head,
so if it doesn't seem well thought out, it's because it wasn't.
But, perhaps you could have some sort of
business card, or post card printed up to
promote yourself, stating that if they bring in
the said card to your studio, that you will
donate a certain percent, or $$ amount of their
service with you. You could hand them out to
people who seem interested, but who don't have
time to wait around for you to be able to do a
service on them. Or have a sign made, stating
that you will donate a certain percent of
services booked if they mention they saw you at
the event, until "such and such" date. That
way, it would extend the good will of the fund
raiser, and you could promote yourself without
looking like you are taking advantage of
anything. You could even promote the event
after the fact, by selling "hands" to your
clients-- you know, the cut out paper hands that
you sell for $1, and let the people put their
name on them. And you could put them up around
your studio and leave them up for a little
while. I almost always donate a dollar to those 0Dthings, and will put
whomever's name on them,
that I am donating "in honor of".
I hope some of that made sense. It's not really
that late, but my mind stopped working hours ago.

For sure smart networking. I would do what ever
you think would get the most attention and make
the ladies remember your name. and about the
business card, if you feel uncomfortable giving
them out, just have them sitting on your
table. If people like your service they'll take
one or two. maybe offer a discount if they come
into the salon. you could put it on the back of
the cards so it's not so obvious. Look around
you and see if others are giving out cards
also. Man, I wish they did things like this in my area. What a great idea.&n
bsp; and afor a great cause.

Well, yeah… but if I were only going to do one
toe/finger per cliennt and charge a minimal fee…
I would take the total price of the ser
rvice at
regular price and divide it by ten ( naturally!)
and then maybe add a buck or two and let that be
the donation. Personally, I think that doing a
whole set—assumming you can create a setup that
will be comfortable and ergonomic—wwould
generate as much interest as the finished
product itself. People love to watch other
people getting nails don e. So set it up like a
“magic show†or something! Have your cards
all over the place and be sure your victims
won’t mind everyone watching! Everyone will
think you are the shit! Also, all the people
who knew you from back in the day when you were supermom will remember you too!

Lol Mel!! I need to re read that. I was thinking
freebie. BUT if she only does one toe for two
dollars, she will get more done and her name out to more people!
All I can think of is those poor girls at all
the booths in Chicago who were doing all 10 toes
for free. And from the looks of those getting it
done, they were not going to buy the stuff- they
just wanted FREE pretty toes!!!

Ok.. question:
If she is doing a fundraiser… wouldn’t the
idea be to do seervices (at regular prices) and
all monies raised be donated to the cause? Why
should she only do one toe per client? I mean,
if she were doing them for free, then yeah… but
I was kinda thinking that everyone there would
be doing goods and/or services at regular prices
and donating the money to the cause.

But, either way—I definitely feel like it is
still smart networkingg! I would hand out
cards, menus of services and prices, everything
I could related to my salon! Smilz….<

anyone on the list doesn’t know, I design

of marketing items that you can purchase from

Pati,
What a great idea your community is doing!!
Okay-- smart networking my dear. You will not be
the only one doing it.
And at the time when you
are getting ready to reestablish yourself!!!!
Bling toes-- do ONLY one per person. If you have
a bar stool use that for them to sit on or you
will have a back that hurts for days. I did it
once and that was all it took!! I crawled up the steps for days!!
I would not go overboar d with decor, but use
your salon theme so they remember it. Tuscan was it? Use that for your table.
If I think of more, I will get back to you. I am
cleaning up our walk in fridge and the dining
room. We just found out we have termites and got
treated but "he" neds to have everything put away!! Lol.

hi...I think I need some suggestions please...
there is an "awake-a-thon" going to be at our
local high school...in honor of cancer survivors
and their caretakers. Premise is cancer never
sleeps and neither will we till we find a
cure! Ok so I was asked to go (and of course I
will) but there is also an oppor tunity to do
some fundraising there. After the dinner,
"parade" and speeches....people will then go
into the gym and stay at their "campsite". It is
there that you can fundraise...all money going
to the cause...I thought I might do some nail
art, or polishing...or maaayybe some bling toes.
There will be like 600 people F
ROM THE COMMUNITY
there.....I thought I would pass out some cards
at the same time...do you think that is ....how
shall I say it, "taking advantage of the
situation?" or smart networking? I don't want to
come across as the first way. I used to be well
known in the community, active in the schools
PTA president, on committees, cub scout
secretary, pre-school teacher...etc...but my
kids are grown up now and I had moved away for
awhile. This will be the first time I am seeing
alot of people in a long time. I need some
suggestions on what to do and how to present it.
(set-up...decorate... etc)
