Not up with all the acronyms! :) Jen Sent from my BlackBerry Smartphone provided by Alltel -----Original Message----- From: athena elliott <[email protected]> Date: Fri, 24 Apr 2009 13:16:57 To: <[email protected]> Subject: NailTech:: Re: Esti is treating Cold Sores....YIKES Debbie!! Recently posted about a client who came in with a cluster of blisters around her big toe. My client transferred her own Herpes simplex virus to her toe (herpetic whitloe / digital herpes)!! That is how contagious it is. I will most def agree w Lynnette...using and AutoClave combining steam w pressure for the recommended time is the only way to be sure that all pathogens contagious or other wise are destroyed. The UV sterilizers are used as a holding storage for clean/disinfected tools only! I don't even own one .. To my knowledge.....the only time any one of the 9 types of herpes is touched by a Dr is when they are taking a culture for diagnoses. . Otherwise treatment is in the form of pills or cream or eye drops. Yet.... Another reason clients should wash before services and techs should use PPE's. IMO :) Peace yall On 4/24/09, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: > Debbie, > She is likely using a "UV sterilizer" that is not sterilizing anything!!! > Those UV things do nothing except give the ignorant a false sense if > security.
