My personal recommendation to you is to use your personal computer--laptop, I assume.... and just use your Outlook in your MSOffice package. If you have Works, you could use that as well. I have MSOffice and I use the "Contacts" to track all my clients, all their info including birthdays.... in "Calendar", you will be able to keep your appointments.... Frankly, you can do all that from your Blackberry. If you want to use both--i.e., if your computer is at home, you can put your appointments in your blackberry. Create a new appointment, fill out all the info then hit your menu button, "invite attendees" and include the client for that appointment and yourself (have yourself with your email address in your contacts in your phone), then save the appointment. It will automatically send that appointment to your calendar in your Outlook when you open it to download your email. Your blackberry will also kick an email to the client for that appointment... AND, I believe it will send out appointment reminders!
As far as my gift certificates, I keep a log book and I have identification numbers for each GC I sell. If you really want to go and spend money for high-dollah software, you can... but you really already have everything you need--assuming you have a PC. I don't know much about Apple computers, but I am sure they have something similar. I do know that you can get MSOffice for Apple computers. I'm a geek.. what can I tell ya... Everyone is booth rental. We are getting ready to add 3 more stylists. I have always done everything by pen and paper. I would like to keep track of my app. Client info. Gift cards sold etc.. I'm trying to get myself more organized.
