Subject: NailTech:: Re: air pockets

Doug Schoon has a good explanation of this in his book on nail chemistry. Since
acrylic never fully cures, center pocket lifting is usually a product
consistency issue... (Hey guys, help me out here... is it too wet? I don't have
my book on me, LOL). Work on your liquid to powder ratio to make sure it is
right for the particular product you are using...
For example... I use Tammy Taylor which is used really wet. When I used
Creative, I had a lot of lifting because it is used drier and I just could not
seem to get my ratio right!! (So I answered my own question, it is too wet that
causes center pocket lifting!!) We need to have that magical combination of
right product in the hands of the right nail tech's natural talent to make for
flawless nails. :) Apparently, I like wet ratio products...  those are the ones
that seem to work best for me...
Good luck!

I use to use CND. Now I use Entity. I get an air pocket in the middle of the
nails. It seems to have got worse lately. That is why I switched to Entity.
Seemed to help at first but lately I have noticed air pockets on people that
doesn't usually get them. The nails doesn't lift but you can see this big air
pocket that I have to drill out. Does anyone have any suggestions to help?
