The old owner told me she wished me all the best. The new place is going a little slow, which I expected. I have had limited funds to get started but used vista print to my benefit and ordered banners, cards, and what not to get my name out there. My mom has also been my biggest supporter by passing out my card to the women at work. I actually have a few appointments today and the support of the new customers coming in. All in all, I'm sure once everyone realizes there is a nail business in there again it will just take off. Joe has told me the other girl who was there had a booming business. So, I am patiently waiting and praying. This was the right choice for me and I know it's all going to work out. --- On Thu, 5/21/09, Shannon Kuharik <[email protected]> wrote: From: Shannon Kuharik <[email protected]> Subject: NailTech:: Re: Ideas To: [email protected] Date: Thursday, May 21, 2009, 8:06 PM Hey Michelle, How is it going in the new location??? And fortunately I was there yesterday to talk to a few of the tanning clients. I had business cards I made on the puter til mine come from Vistaprint. Gave them to a girl at Target and the clerk at Sally's when I ordered my pedi-cart. --- On Fri, 5/8/09, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: From: [email protected] <[email protected]> Subject: NailTech:: Re: Ideas To: [email protected] Date: Friday, May 8, 2009, 9:58 AM Michele, Got it... Just be out there giving out your cards+it takes 1 person to come+get your service+it will roll... Word of mouth works better than we know... Only one owner. He already said something to me about trading out for tanning. I don't exect him to just let me tan for free because he has a business to run, too. --- On Fri, 5/8/09, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: From: [email protected] <[email protected]> Subject: NailTech:: Re: Ideas To: [email protected] Date: Friday, May 8, 2009, 9:23 AM So excited for you girl! How about getting the other employees (hair stylists, receptionists...) nails done so they can show off your work... Gotta look professional and it's my own space so it's gotta look nice. I have most of the stuff I need to get it going. My only concern is getting people in the door. I took in flyers and he put them all up for me. He has my business cards and pricing ,too. I went to Sally's to buy my pedi cart and the clerk who helped me was all over the whole gettin her feet done. Passed out cards while I was in target because this girl liked my pink hair and colored acrylic nails. So, I feel like things are going in the right direction just still a little uneasy because I have no clientel. What else can I do for advertisement to get people in the door? Thanks for your ideas!!
