I agree with Lynette.. If there is alot of cuticle and it gets jagged, the skin 
can tear and the little ones can get dirt and bacteria.  Be careful

If there is a lot of cuticle, I push it back. I do not have an age minimum. I 
do both my granddaughters ages almost 3 and almost 5. 
I have some other clients who bring grands and children and I do theirs too.

 What age do you think it would be safeto start gently pushing back cuticles 
and nipping? We do children's pedi's and I do not do that to kids under 13 and
