I use acetone too.  no sense in keeping a million gallons of stuff around when
one product does the trick.  I also get a cotton coil and make my own cotton
balls.  i can make them the way I like that way.  i just sit in front of the tv
at home and roll away.  the coil last almost a year and costs about $15.
cheaper and custom.

OMG how I hate using cotton.of any type!  I have used gauze pads for many years
now....bought them from my dentist (he ordered them for me) and I swear by
them! Even if you don't get them from your dentist try googling a medical
supply company or dental supply.....I also get my toe separators from
there...you know those cotton rolls that the dentist puts in your cheek to
absorb your "spit"...they work like charms in between the toes!

I agree 100% with Lynnette!  100% acetone polish remover is the way to go!  The
non acetone stuff is a waste in my opinion.  Also, its not just the polish
remover, its the Cotton Balls that matter too!  Make SURE you are using 100%
COTTON BALLS!  NOT "Cosmetic Puffs" or any substandard stuff like that.  If you
do not use 100% COTTON BALLS it WILL smear around and stain the fingers as the
"cosmetic puffs" are nothing more than fiberfill junk!  I buy the triple sized
cotton20balls and have great success with polish removal!

Hey girls--it is FINE to use 100% acetone to remove polish from your acrylic
nails! I have only used acetone for about ten years. The product will not lift
or cause any problems. The acetone evaporates so fast this is not a concern.
I do not even have non-acetone in my salon! Buenos dias, Lynnette Sent via

<[email protected]> Subject: NailTech:: Acetone vs. Non Acetone What
does everyone use to remove the polish from acrylic nails. I know your
supposed to use the non acetone because of breakdown or loosening of
the nail but it seems like it takes forever to get
the polish off and the color still stains the skin. Any suggestions on what
you guys do. Or what is a good brand that does not take forever to remove.
