thank you all so much for your answers about the files and the OPI polish!

Had a "busy" week this week....did about 8 services!!  LOL!!  It about wiped me
out!  4 on Thursday 2 on friday and 1 today! But...I am being careful to book
"standing up" time in between...bout killed my back on Thursday! (OMG thank you
Mindy for recommending that ball chair ...I LOVE IT ) Far cry from my 100
clients in Florida BUT...I want to build slowly to get my body used to working
again....err..not TOO slow.... in case the "job angel" is listening!  LOL!
(and I don't want 100 clients...but I'll settle for about 40...20 a week!)
My salon is coming along slowly but surely. I got my nail table today (nephew
owns a salon and wanted to get rid of one!) I have been working on a  portable
table I had.  My sister-in-law is having my husband do her kitchen ..next week
he'll start it...and she suggested I use her old cabinets...they are in great
condition ...they are white formica....sooooo...he will take them down and
bring them home and put them up downstairs.  They will look so nice...and
everything will be behind doors instead of on shelves!! My room is a wonderful
shade of green....kind of a sage...perhaps a tad lighter with white trim...so
it will look perfect.  Question is.....when will he have time to put them
up???  LOL!!  I don't want to hang pictures or things on the wall until I know
where the cabinets etc will be....oh well...a much nicer dilem
ma than last years!!  (so I shouldn't fret about it) Bathroom is not done
yet...so they use the "house" bathroom...patience is a virtue ...so they tell
me...

I will take pictures one of these days...I promise!

Hey Pati,

I use the 100/180 white disinfectable files from Ace Nail Supply in
Georgia…they have ANS and their 1-800 number imprinted, but they are actually
made by Soft Touch…so you might be able to get them from other manufacturers or
from Soft Touch direct.

I buy them in boxes of 50. Can’t think what the price is exactly, but “B’s”
number is 800-783-1112 and I know she’d be glad to tell you.

These files are really great…very consistent, and perfect for gels, after
they’ve been used once. I always get a new one out when I do acrylics…and then
use them on gels, then natural nails and then trash. They hold up to sanitation
and disinfection. (And I never use black files because of the grit issue.)

Good luck with your new salon!!!

ok what files do you all like the best? I don't like black ones that leave
black grit behind....
should be washable and disinfectable....(or real good price to use only once)
no sharp 'edges" to cut client
....ummm don't forget a good price too!!  LOL!!
TIA....

.... Or the most recent rash of stories where the business gets a phone call
telling them to test the sprinkler system and then having them break the
windows. I think the caller is telling the people they are with the fire
company¤.............

Has anyone ever heard of carmelizing on nails?  Someone called the salon today
and said they wanted their toes carmelized. They said it was polish in acrylic
that went into th e microwave. What the heck?
