She said they work just as well. I just ordered the middle kit that came with the heat lamp cuz I'm too lazy to go to the pet store. ;0) Sent from my iPod On Aug 4, 2009, at 8:02 AM, Laura Allison <[email protected]> wrote: Hello! I guess I should introduce myself first; since I am new to the forum. My name is Laura and I just graduated nail school back in June and so far haven't had much luck in the "nail world". I just received my minx kit last week. I was told that you could use a reptile lamp instead of purchasing the minx heat. Has anyone else heard that? The sheets included in the starter kit include armour, chrome(silver) and gold. Minx heat is a 250 watt bulb which is included in the deluxe kit. There are a sampling of patterns in the deluxe kit including a plain pink and plain red sheet (the only solid colors available, to my knowledge, along with black and the silver and gold). The training link is the same for both. I wish there were more solid colors available. Maybe they will release some. I have stopped trying to apply them over enhancements. They (the enhancements) are too curvy and the Minx are FLAT. But they look wonderful on natural nails! I've had 3 women drive 200+ miles (one way) to have me apply Minx! Apparently I am the ONLY Minx tech in the state!! How funny is that? Marsha McDonald Rubino GIMME NAILS @ the Devonshire 37 Fifth St. E. Maybe I missed something about Minx Nails. I'm a little confused about the training and kits and training. Can someone clear up my confusion? The deluxe kit says: "The deluxe starter kit includes the materials needed to train and become Minx Level One Certified, as well as Minx Heat and additional Minx sets that you will need to begin offering Minx to your customers." The starter kit says; "The Minx starter kit comes with everything you need to start your Minx training. This includes the Minx training link, Minx heat and enough sets to start practicing with." Are there different levels of education? Also is the heat source included in these kits? Thanks!
