C-Curve adds so much strength it's nutty. I always take a brochure (in my seminars) and hold it at one end and drive it into my other hand. It buckles. Then I put a c-curve in the brochure and drive it into my other hand...it doesn't buckle. It's the same theory of the Egg. Did you ever try to break an egg holding it between two fingers end to end. The Arch is totally a wonder of the world. I visited some Greek ruins in Sicily this year. After thousands of years the arches they built have kept that monument standing. Think about all the biggest bridges with the longest spans (land mass ones not suspended ones)...they're built with arches.
Can you tell I'm a HUGE fan of a beautiful C-Curve? Try my brochure trick with any single piece of paper. Hold it at one end (the long way) you're lucky if it doesn't flop before you drive it into your other hand. Now hold it so it has a c-curve and do the same thing.
