Before I put on AC or el or anything, I would coat with 2-4 layers of 
nail glue.. brush on would be the best option.. this will keep any 
chemicals seeping through the cut area.. I might even think dip 
here.. 2 layers of glue, set, glue, sprinkle powder, glue, set. glue, 
sprinkle, glue, set
