When I've used them, I used acrylic paint. Make sure that your polish is very dry. Add a couple of drops or paint to a polish remover pad to make a "stamp pad", pounce the stamp onto the pad then apply to the nail. Start with one side and rock to the other size, depending on size to ensure that you stamp the entire image on the nail's curved surface. Be sure to clean stamp well. Dried acrylic paint and rubber stamps don't like each other.
