I charged her $5 more but it was worth $100. I spent over an hour taking that
crap off and they had drilled a trench around her cuticles so the polish was
stuck in the trench. I didn't want to damage her more so I had to be ever so
careful. It was interesting though, I remember a post back a few months on
mixing polish in gel. She said on Fri they polished her with China glaze and it
did dry somewhat better then on Mon when they used OPI. If I remember right
some where saying China glaze would work to do that. After this encounter I
will never mix polish and gel. I will stick to gel polish, which works.

Angie,
THAT is the stuff that all the chop shops use and calls it gel.
I had a new client on Thursday with that crap on. I thought a while back I
would want to use that, but you have to dig and press that crap off with a
sanding band. UGH!
Amazing these women think this is gel!
Buenos dias,
Lynnette

Subject: NailTech:: Gel over polish

One of my clients freaked out because my daughters due date was on her standing
nail appt. date. She broke a nail on Friday last week and her appt. wasn't
until Tue. with me. She goes to this nail shop next to her work to get it fixed
and decided to get her fill while she was there, just incase, Lezli went in
labor on her appt date. That same nail they fixed on Fri broke on Sat and her
polish never dried. So on Mon she goes back in there and had them fix it and
repolish them again. She gets gel nails and gel polish. This shop didn't know
what gel polish was so they polished her with OPI and put gel sealer over that.
What a mess. Well as you all know Lezli didn't go in labor on her due date, so
on Tue the very next day she is at her regular nail appt with me. It crackled
and would not come off but you could move it around and dent it. Just awful.
Took me forever. I went thru 4 sanding bands and had to finish with a metal one
just to get that
stuff off. Nasty that is all I can say. I don't want to go thru that again.
