Best you send this with a press release stating that your salon is safe. If you use an autoclave, send a picture of that also, that will really do it. You need to set yourself apart from the culprits before you send this information to the papers. Yes, it has a picture of the owner, but that does NOT say the entire industry is not like his salon. But I think it would infer it to many potential and current clients. A picture of you standing in front of your autoclave will do it. You have to be more specific. Tell them what it takes to be safe in a salon. It will get a huge amount of clients for you.
I have had many so-called educated people ask me what I am doing now and when I say 'writing and training for the podiatry, nail and esthetic industries' they go right into the hype about dirty nail salons, with their eyebrows skewed towards the center saying 'I won't have pedicures anymore.' or, 'wouldn't ever.' One person who should know better (an editor for a beauty magazine) went 'eeeeuuuuu' then went on about 'I won't have pedicures anymore, how do you know if they are safe!?!.' I went into the bit about the autoclave/the salons who use them are committed to safety and how to find them. She is now having pedicures.
