Will check out our Treasury Department, don't know what it is called
here in the state, but know that gift certificate complaints go thru
the Consumer Protection here in the State.

I really don't understand the diff of Fed vs. State laws. Well,
which over rides which. Maybe Federal would be if the gift cards are
national vs. gift cards that are sold within the state. I am guessing here.

I know that with Labor Laws, we have Federal Labor laws and State
Labor Laws, the State is more strict than the Federal, but employers
have to follow both. Same with Osha. Will have to do some research on this.

As for the credit card charges, Yes, the company still says this is a
MC/Visa charge, not their company. I still have to get on-line and
do this "test" that we are required to do or get charged $20.00 a
month service fee. A couple of the girls have done it and says it is
a pain in the but, full of questions geared towards security. They
told me all the answers are yes to pass with an A!!! hehehehe

I have not had time to do this, but will see if this is MC/Visa
security test or our supplier. Will let you know asap.

MC/Visa and all other credit card companies are changing so fast
right now because of the new Federal Laws that start next year. In my
opinion, they are trying to get "new" money now, because they will
lose next year. Just like others, their terms on their credit cards
have changed because of their spending habits, use of cards, limits
etc. does not matter if you have great credit scores or not. I have
a Chase card, have not changed one bit, but many others have had
their interest rates changed, balance availability or even closed.

Sooo, maybe with our credit card machine, we were "hit" with this new
annual fee because of the changes. Not everyone, not across the
board, but whatever criteria we had, we qualified!!!I am just
surprised that as many people that is on this list someone else
didn't get this "new" annual fee.diana from indiana
