Maybe do the opening in shifts. Like 1 to 2 next group 2 to 3 something of that nature. Long day for you but better for the offices. Another thought is to have it day when others are closed. Teresa @ Face 2 Face Sent from my BlackBerry Smartphone provided by Alltel

It's totally like something out of a Mickey Spilane novel, the doors all have these big frosted glass panels and the halls are all marble. It's so cool! BUT, I can't just have a traditional open house and invite everyone in town to stop by. I can't even have all my clients in the salon at the same time! And sharing the building with businesses such as family therapists and accountants, my neighbors are not terribly hip to having me and my guests milling about the hallways. In a perfect world, I'd have had a small, private party in the evening by invitation only for VIPs-- but that would still mean accomadations for 100 peeps! Then I'd have a big open house on a Saturday afternoon. Ain't gonna happen. I've been considering doing the private party idea as an open house on a Saturday afternoon. Sending out invites with RSVPs and keeping the salon open for "tours" with the official reception party held at one of the neighboring restaraunts or hotels. That way I could have reception room set up with buffet style goodies and there'd be lots of space for people to mill about. And we could do little visits to the actual salon in small groups. Hmmmmm. But how do I invite the entire town up to visit to gain the publicity? I thought maybe do an open house month, opening up to the public every Saturday for a month and advertising to have peeps stop by for a visit and pick up a free gift etc etc blah blah blah. I'd love to hear other ideas and any ways to tweek these? Thanks! Oh... also, I'm thinking of doing the official grand opening after the first of the year. Since December is going to be hectic enough! How long after opening do you think would still be good? Maybe through January and push Valentine's Day GC and gift basket sales? OH I'M SO EXCITED!
