I really need to get my technology up to speed...literally! I figured out I'm paying about $400 a month for the various phones/ISPs/landlines in my life. I'm talking to a company who has a "virtual terminal" that allows online credit card processing which would allow me to get rid of a $60+ land line and $12 a month for dial up internet service at my salon. (yes...dial up! I only ever have used the internet at work to print click-n-ship labels.)
Anyone who could help me with any or all of these questions would be MOST appreciated! 1. Anyone have a reason why Sprint with their "unlimited everything" plan for $99 a month would not be a good idea? Anyone know why swapping from AT&T to Sprint would be a problem? 2.. Anyone use their phone with a USB cable to their laptop to go online on their computer? Any problems with data integrity? (Sprint refers this to "use phone as modem" and it's included in the plan...AT&T refers to this as "tethering" and it costs an extra $60 per month.) 3. Anyone know anything about the Blackberry 9700? Or the latest rendition of the Curve? Any problems/limitations I should know about? Any suggestions for a phone (besides an iPhone--which I've about eliminated due to some other issues)? Thanks ever so much for any input! Karen, who is slow-tech now...but looking to be hi-tech soon!
