Ok this is kinda scary/ironic.......A couple of days ago I was actually
speaking to one of the staff members on the Dr. Oz show.......the poor guy
didn't know what he was in for when he gave me his e-mail address. I just sent
him a very long email, so I would like to tell you I took care of it... but who
knows. I'm interested to see if I get a response.

Just a note here--- this can also be done at an UPSCALE nss. I have many
American owned upscale places in my area that are nss. It is not exclusive to
the chop shop places!!
Maybe that is what Dr Oz should have explained. Instead of lumping "acrylic" as
onen he should have had his AP's do their homework and know this is the norm
with MMA.

Yes...and I was not reall happy about it!! As far as the acetone, if you
soaked off the same nail every day, or just left it in acetone, maybe it would
get soft too. But how often do clients soak off? I have 2 clients that soak
off every 3 or 4 months...the rest either soak off every 10 to 14 months, but
thats only if they need to. When you are soaking off, the nail that is
soaking, is not the same nail that soaked off before because it has grown out.

Did you see the part where he glued cardboard on to wood or sheet rock? I cant
remember what one it was. Then he ripped it off and said that is what you are
doing to your nails using acrylic? He did not say that is what happens when
you go to a nss shop and have them ripped off with a tip! Anyways, getting mad
about it again....so going to go have another cup of coffee and calm down...lol

Good Morning My Nail Tech Friends,

Did any of you see the demonstration Dr Oz did with acetone and a piece of
Styrofoam?
He always has volunteers come up with him to help on certain subjects. This
demo was about acrylics and from what I caught at the last minute was him
showing the acetone melting the Styrofoam, and making it known that it is
harmful to your nails. Sooooooooooo get ready to answer questions from clients.
I can hear it now. Ughhhh!!!!

What will YOU say when they tell you Dr Oz did a show that acetone will cause
damage to their nails?

I hope you are all enjoying this Holiday Season~!!!
