I have the ibd spatula too.... a relic of one of my many adventures with gel...
but it is kick butt for stirring! Picks the color right up off the bottom of
the Axxium gels with minimal bubbles. Nothing else I've tried has worked as
well....
SPEAKING OF GEL... I had a gel client come in today with pink and whites on
after 12 weeks... 2 cracks, one of the cracked nails lifting, half grown off
and LOOOONNNNG... but ALL TEN!!! (She has been in and out of the hospital). I
think I can officially say that I have eliminated gel lifting problems of the
past... THANK GOODNESS!!!!!!! WOOOO HOOOOO!

Ihave the IBD spatulas for stirring and they do a great job.  Especially the
dark colors it is amazing how much they separate and get thick in the bottom.
I was just given of the NSI balance gels with glitter in (Rock Star Collection)
they are so thick in the bottom I had trouble stirring, but once they were
stirred they were great.  Not as great as our Rock Star nails from scratch<LOL>
but ... The spatulas are the best I got them like ten years ago when I took my
first IBD class and had the first gel polishes.  I just looked and they are
listed with the gel accessories In Buynail for $5.25 I bet you could get
something like them at AC Moore's art dep even cheeper.

And Lynnette, I have a bottle of Hawaiian Orchid polish and it is very sheer. A
bit of  pinky/purple but very sheer.  used it for french's a lot back in the
day. just FYI

Krystle,
Thanks for the help, but I do stir them. I have two packets of toothpicks by my
table for that reason. They just not are the same. The :Hawaiian Orchid should
be pretty purply and it is way too sheer!!
My clients are still using them anyway. Muchas gracias,
Lynnette

Hi Lynnette,
Just reading though all the posts and I happened to come across this one. I
noticed that you find the axxium sog colors not true to the polishes and I was
just wondering if you stirred the gels before you applied them? I found when I
first started using the sogs that I would need many coats but when I used a
toothpick and gave the gel a good mixing, making sure to get right to the
bottom, I would only need the recommended 2 coats. I think that sometimes the
gels "settle" when not used for a while and they separate therefore needing a
stir. Hope this helps
Krystle
