Anna, go to Home Depot and buy a clear infrared 250 watt bulb, and you
will need a special porcelain fixture to go with it. I got a metal
clamp on lamp fixture for use in a garage, and that's what I use. I
actually use a 150 watt bulb, but I use the lamp much closer to the
client's hand and if I were using a 250 w. It works perfectly fine.
Total cost: less than 20 bucks.

On the same subject, if you haven't tried Trendy Nails Unlimited, you
should. I just got some from them, and they are just like MinX, and
they have different designs, so I will use both but TNU is definitely
cheaper.
