Also the so gives them a stronger feel to the nail and they get use to that and when it comes off they notice a difference and forgot how they were before. Angie Wingerter

In my opinion when the sog comes off their nails seem thinner or weaker due to the moisture that the natural nails retain as it cannot escape thru the sog as the gel isn't porous. Same as when you remove any enhancement. Within 24 hrs their nails are back to the same condition they were in prior to the application.
