I know its improved a lot since then, I just get a kick out of how the memory
cycle works. Every ten years or so things get repackaged or repromoted and
eveything is suddenly "new":)

I know how you feel about the time factor lol!!! I have a student who was born
in 1991. I was in the military then:p

I had the whole IBD color line when I first started, and it just didn't
apply well IMO. This next generation of gels is so much easier to apply... just
like other products have improved.

AND NICOLE, CAN WE PLEEEEEESE NOT REMIND ME THAT 1992 WAS NEARLY 20 YEARS
AGO!!!YOU DAMN NEAR GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK!!! I CANNOT POSSIBLY BE THAT OLD...
1992 seems like yesterday in soooooo many ways!

I know that IBD doesn't make their gel polish in a bottle, but I was reminded
of your high school story last night at the school. The owner had brought in
stacks of old trade magazines from the 80s and early 90s because she is spring
cleaning. A 1992 spring/summer edition of one of them had a splashy ad for IBD,
advertising the great and fabulous UV cured nail polish, almost 20 years ago:D

Ah! I never said "better." I haven't had any experience with Shellac yet, so
I'm not qualified to offer an opinion regarding quality or even personal
preference. I was just pointing out that Shellac wasn't the first bottled gel
polish to market, so it struck me odd that there were so many post discussing
it as though it was.
