Pam, WHen I say brush the SOG off of the nail, I mean brush it on the nail, but continue to make contact with the nail with the brush until it brushes off of the nail. Don't lift your brush up towards the end of the nail, keep brushing the SOG off of the nail. I hope that makes sense. It makes sure that the SOG is applies and sealed to the entire nail, especially at the free edge.
I only use acid free primer and I use it only on the free edge of the nail to ensure easy soak off.
