Angie, Just got these in last week, Shellac and Gelish. so still testing. And I file very gently the loose product, which with the soft gel, is not very much. Have only filed gel polish twice, which is all ready on top of gel or ac. And usually when the color is gone, the filing is done. diana from indiana

Caralyn, what I meant was when you use soak off gels, the gel is so thin and thick, white to thick, pink too thin, that when you do the white and pink, the white always seems to "stick" up. What I mean, if you look at the nail side ways, you see the white a little higher than the pink.

I/m not the gel expert here, but I think we put the white down a little thicker to get the shadow out, and the pink didn't need to be that thick, so you get the hump. Don't get me wrong, it can be mastered, but I, like others are frustrated.

With the new or we just found out about SOG in a bottle, the white is almost the same consistency of white nail polish, so no hump. I apply the pink, wipe off edge with my thumb, cure for 10 sec, and then go back and apply white, freeze. cure. then add the top coat, cure. Exactly like I do my french with nail polish. Maybe it is what I'm used to or maybe it's the product, I don't know. but beautiful. diana from indiana

All of my appts are booked every 45 min. I am curious how much time are you all alloting for say a basic mani with sog. Or a regular fill with sog added and how does the extra time compare with what your regular service income vs the time?
