Not all lights put out the same amount of power so it may not matter.

peeling is generally a sign of undercuring. If the nails are weak
enough to be in need of enhancements, this could be part of the
problem as well, Shellac can add a small amount of strength and
protection, more than normal polish, but not as much as an
enhancement.

I have had my first problems with shellac. Two women came back
after a week with missing product. One of them had no shellac on
four nails, the other had several chip off. Both of these women have
very thin, weak, flexible nails. I wonder if it kind of popped off
when their nail flexed. Has anyone else noticed this? So far
though it has been great other than a couple of cases.
