I did my first Shellac today....with the CND lamp and here's some observations I made...
I did Red Baroness...and was very surprised at the richness of the color with the first thin coat. The application seemed flawless and the finish was great. The light is very technical...lots to learn! I wish there was a little more information about the various features...for instance, the two trays are to be both in at the same time? And my clients kept pulling the finger tray out when they took their hands out! lol When you push the "go" button...there's a couple seconds of delay before the lights turn on and the fan starts--the first few times I was pushing the button a couple times and was all bummed out that I'd gotten a broken lamp! But I once got distracted and before I could get back to push the button a second time...it suddenly came on. Oh! that's how that works! Today I did Gelish, Shellac and Star Eco all in the CND lamp, also YN regular gels and LE colored gel...and all of them all cured just fine. I'm liking the lamp a lot. I save a lot of time by being able to do a whole hand at once--had no issues with the sides of thumbs being undercured (dull) but am having to get used to the logistics of not having the clients drape their arms over with their hands hanging down as I had with my former set up. As soon as I find a way to hack into the Axxium sog, I'll try it next! lol I need to make a cheat sheet....with the cure times of the various products. To keep it simple, today I just cured everything 2 minutes. I spent a little down time coloring the neat color sticks I got from LE...the best one I've seen so far. They are all individual little "nail shapes" on one end about the size and shape of measuring spoons but you can add or take away as colors come and go. Great way to display all the colors!
