I also worked with the Color Me Beautiful system years ago....but I find it's more practical to go with "warm" and "cool"...which I use for tinting, makeup, nails, etc.
I think the percentages of warm vs cool will vary with regions--i have lots of Latina warmth down here! I also think you can wear any color you want....just choose the right hue. For example, as a "cool" complexion, I don't generally look good in yellows....unless it's a pastel that is so lemony it's an "icy" yellow. (think lemon coolers). There are many reds....you just need to decide if the best choice is on the blue side of true red...or the yellow side.
